Thank you so much Dmbob. Just updated to 4_15_0_1015_WWE_WWE. After all these I found this one as the most stable ROM of WM6.5 for P320.

    Hi DmBOB,
You have to be called our hero out here. I would like to thank you on behalf of all the members here in this forum and I must say, you have done a great job. Especially when considering that I am getting the WM6.5 build I want and the EzInput keyboard which I absolutely love. Too good to resist. Anyone willing to make their P320 a super PocketPC? This ROM answers everything.

Regarding other stuff, unfortunately DmBOB, I found a few bugs but hey, I think we can call the bugs a blessing in disguise to make future ROMs even better. The bugs include-
SMSes are not saved, as soon as I try to open an SMS, it shows my SMS inbox is empty. Hope that is only a temporary error.
Free RAM not so high. Do you have any idea DmBOB about which programs eat out the most RAM?
I presume the EzInput keyboard is one of them. I was thinking about integrating the new Manila 2D build at the XDA-Developers made specifically for WM6.5. I hope we do get one with that cooked in too.

But my requests aside, I just can't express my emotions. Absolutely loving every moment of it. Here's a toast raised to you and hoping that this active community simply thrives on your great efforts. Till then, enjoy. Cool

Oh yeah, and couldn't resist posting a few screenies of this latest build. Very Happy

Hmmm, don't have the same problem:
Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen02n.th Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen03e.th Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen04q.th

Do you have any idea DmBOB about which programs eat out the most RAM? I presume the EzInput keyboard is one of them.
You're right... but it is too good to cut it out =D
+2 MB of RAM is not critical for me, because all the programs that I use work well. Deallocating a lot of RAM slows down rom work and, therefore, makes it unusable.

I was thinking about integrating the new Manila 2D build at the XDA-Developers made specifically for WM6.5
You mean 2.0 version? It uses too much memory and have some bugs. And to make matters worse i can't find qvga lite versions...

Hey, I loved the build so very much. However, Video Recording bug still lingers around...Sad When u enter the Video Recording mode, the camera app is exited to the main menu, which was actually seen in the previous build also. So, any solution??

Build 23085 CHome WWE Empty Received call bug

Post  harsha Thu Nov 12, 2009 9:32 am

Bob I found issue with received call log. If the call is from a new number which is not in list of contacts, it is not shown in call history.

Other I am quite happy with memory. My P320 turned fast again.

    Once again thanks bob.

    Hi DmBob,
Weird for me. Ok, here's the screenies for my SMS problem. Don't have any idea what's causing this. I have loads of SMSes in my SIM card too but even they aren't showing up. scratch

    Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen07Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen08

Regarding Manila, I did decide to give it a try today but my feedback was a complete negative. While TouchFLO did work for me in 6.1, it just doesn't start up in 6.5. And when I tried to uninstall the HTC Shared Modules, it had some problems. Might be due to that.

Installed Phone Canvas, not happy at all though. Doesn't look very nice on my P320.

    Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen09b

Had installed PhonEx too but as usual it works great with 6.1 but crappy with every build of 6.5. Issues range from not starting up at Windows boot and not coming up when I press the call button.

But other than this, am absolutely loving this build and hope to see more great great goodies coming from ya. After my exams finish in a months' time, I will take some time to learn cooking from you. Will be a lot of fun. Cool

Oh yes, I did forget to mention another bug in it. I do not have any skin for Windows Media Player and thus I have no way to control it except working it from the Today screen. I will post a screenshot in a little while too. Don't think it is too much of a bug. Can someone help me with a Windows Media Player skin here? Surely, a new reason to try a new skin. Laughing

Thank you for the new build.

However here are some bugs that i found :

    - after an unknown amount of time it loses connection and it need a soft reset to fix.
    - i cannot access phone options i get the message: "The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again"
    - in the interface screen if you are positioned on "photos" the green hardware button doesn't work.
    - i don't know if "EzImput" has any options, if it does, they cannot be accessed from input method options.

I will let you know if i have any other bug.

Once again thank you for this build.

    Delicious cooking Comrade !

No issues whatsoever with basic phone functionality (IMEI, bluetooth MAC, call reception/missed log etc.)

These two haven't happened to me ... yet.

+1. I can confirm these two.

That said, it doesn't feel all that faster than stock 6.1.
And let's face it, the touchscreen on this model is no iPhone killer - the interface does feet clunky at times.

I see quite a few people are already testing it out. Can you all share your memory usage stats ?

I'm seeing only 16MB free right after boot - dropping to a meager 10-11MB after a few minutes of use. scratch

    Here you go with mine-
    Build 23085 CHome WWE Screen11

Ya, that is a bit disappointing and mostly for the fact that there are many graphic elements and the EzInput keyboard itself. I have heard a lot at XDA-Developers regarding this keyboard's high requirement but hey, if you love it at the end of the day, I am sure there ain't too much of a problem. Surprisingly, the device storage space is huge.

And Yes too for the fact that it isn't faster than the stock WM6.1 ROMs and frankly, the P320 was never even meant to be plus the fact that this might not be working at all when Windows Mobile 7 comes into the foray. So have to deal with realities till then but hey, as long as we get new stuff like this, I don't think we will have anything to whine about. Very Happy

    Hi DmBob,
Don't bother about the SMS problem. It is now working after I uninstalled an app called HushSMS which could be used to send Flash SMSes to anyone. Will miss the functionality but looks like this bug is here to stay so won't be using the program until a fix is found.

I have 23MB Storage and 8 MB program free.

Its been working great so far, however the missed call showed the wrong number once Sad I will try fo another few days and check.

I don't use the keyboard provided. I prefer phonepad. Hold down the keyboard button to get the option to change the input option.

Network also seems to come and go ocassionally, will update in a couple of day.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would love to start off with a completely bare-bones ROM, and add stuff only if I want to.

Not whining, it's wishful thinking. Razz
However, I've read (in other threads here) of people reporting much lower memory footprints with 6.5 ROMs - some even reported 27MB free RAM with a WM6.5 ROM !
Heck, I used to run with 23-24 MB free RAM back with official 6.1 ROM.

In the meanwhile, does there exist a tool like the "Auto Cleaner" ("Cleaner" ?) that came bundled with official 6.1 ROM ?
Some tool that would close processes when I hit the "X" button on any application ?
Right now the processes just go to the background and keep eating RAM.
