[ROM][11/Nov/09] SCHIST ROM 21864 TouchFlo2D

Hi,

I updated to the 11 Nov 21864 ROM with TouchFLO 2D (from the original indian version wm 6.1)

After performing all the steps mentioned (including pressing the answer button at the warning page), the phone shows the "Windows Mobile 6.5" boot-up screen and just keeps showing that.

Just to clarify - I did not use the SD card method (the F.A.Q section mentions about the SD card method, which I did not use).

Also, since the device does not boot up, ActiveSync does not detect it and so I'm unable to flash the device back to the original (or any) ROM now

Any help please?

use sd card method nd copy all.. extrom.nb0, gsm.dio.nb0 nd flash.dio.nb0.. or try PIM maker nd install it from pim installer.. report back.. after flashin from sd card or pim installer, do not make hard reset..

try deleting asus launcher, asus status nd voicecm from \windows\startup\ nd restart the device... m gettin 19mb program mem free now!!

I am loving your P527 ROM, especially this one with M2D UI. Its sleek and fast. Only that if could be lighter it would be perfect for me. Because I use Traditional Chinese lang, I have to install an additional lang pack, the storage space is only 8MB left... sigh.

Initially I flashed it using "SCHIST 23016 Touchflo2D " pim version no error messages reported but the response was slow hence I flashed using SCHIST ROM 21864 Touchflo2D. on searching shows problem with bluetooth hardware

the device with this rom do searches for other bluetooth devices... to recieve, u must enable incomin beams in beam settings.

if the error is still, try flashing official 6.1 nd again flash 21864 touchflo2d

tried your rom.I think still have some bugs.

1. bluetooth / wifi not work
2. hang after some time. not sure why.

I am very interested to find out the reason. Hope u see my feedback

bluetooth works. wifi also works.. read faq for that. nd what do u mean with hangs after sometime... i never faced such problem.

bluetooth and wifi works now. but still notice the p527 hangs. it doesn't response to the make a call button and your friends also unable to call in.
to elaborate is that i still can see the network but I cannot make a call or receive a call.

if that's the issue then it's gsm.dio.nb0 u need.. download p527 pim maker from here https://winmo.forumotion.com/p527-f26/p527-pim-maker-t70.htm

copy ur official/regional p527.pim to p527 pim maker folder... next drag the p527.pim to pimsplit.exe... u'll get part3.nb0, part4.nb0 and part5.nb0... rename part4.nb0 to gsm.dio.nb0 and part5.nb0 to extrom.nb0 and copy those two files to ur sd card with any flash.dio.nb0..... next, flash it.

report back!!

it means u're gsmffs within u're phone is corrupted. first u have to completely erase the radio of u're p527.

u have the GSM.dio.nb0 as well as the EXTROM.nb0. rename GSM.dio.nb0 to EXTROM.nb0 and rename the EXTROM.nb0 to GSM.dio.nb0... it means part4.nb0 that should be GSM.dio.nb0 is now EXTROM.nb0 and part5.nb0 that should be EXTROM.nb0 is now GSM.dio.nb0... now put the renamed files in ur sd card with any flash.dio.nb0. now, flash!!

now, the radio of ur p527 is completely erased(or mis-flashed with EXTROM.nb0).. u wont be able to make calls now as u dont have any radio in ur p527, not even the corrupted gsmffs. now, again, rename the renamed EXTROM.nb0 and GSM.dio.nb0 back to their original names and flash again by sd card method... u're radio is put back now and u can make calls.....

now, report if ur p527 hangs.

tried and it is still not successful.
At first, I thought it work already but this time round 4 hours later, it hangs again. Are u sure it doesn't happen to your set?

p527 doesn't seem anything wrong but after sometime the call button not working and calls cannot come in.
