I think i found the reason for lag problem with HTC Phone Canvas!
There is a LOG file in \DebLogger\cprog.log which is 1.37 MB in size!

FIXED!1. Just remove the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\DebLogger
or something like that!
2. Soft-reset!
3. Then remove the folder: \DebLogger
That's all. No more LAG and Phone Canvas works better!
